How to connect to Wi-Fi on campus

Free wireless internet is available at all SRTAFE campuses in accordance with the Conditions of Use. The connection details are:

  • Wireless network (SSID): SRTAFE
  • Username: Student ID or Staff ID
  • Password: Your TAFE Account password.

Follow the steps below to connect your device to the SRTAFE Wi-Fi:

  1. Navigate to Apps
  2. Locate and tap Settings
  3. Tap Wi-Fi
  4. Tap SRTAFE
  5. Ensure that EAP method is set to PEAP
  6. Ensure that Phase 2 authentication is None or MSCHAPV2
  7. Ensure that the CA certificate is Don't Validate
  8. Enter your username in the Identity field
  9. Enter your password in the Password field
  10. Tap Connect
  1. Tap Settings
  2. Tap Wi-Fi
  3. Tap SRTAFE
  4. Enter your username and password
  5. Tap Join
  6. Tap Trust
  1. Click the Wireless Network icon in the system tray
  2. Click SRTAFE
  3. Enter your username and password and click OK
  4. Click Connect

  1. Click on Wi-Fi icon on top right side on the menu bar and turn on Wi-Fi
  2. Click on SRTAFE
  3. Enter your username and password
  4. Press Join
  5. Click on Continue to accept the Wi-Fi certificate
  6. Enter your device's password and click Update Settings to save the Wi-Fi certificate
