Training your Workforce

"We see industry as partners. Our driving force is to support your workforce to develop relevant skills, build community capacity, enhance job growth and increase productivity."

Sue Lapham, Acting Managing Director South Regional TAFE

To be competitive and keep up with changes in the market, investing in the development of your people can give you the edge in business. By partnering with South Regional TAFE we help you as an employer to develop your workforce so that your people stay relevant and up to date with the latest trends, skills and qualifications.

Understanding Your Needs

We do more than simply deliver training courses for your business. By gaining a deeper understanding of your business opportunities and challenges, we are able to achieve business solutions tailored to your specific needs. By adopting a partnership approach, we work alongside you to ensure training solutions meet your specific workforce development requirements.

We recognise businesses require a different solution to their training needs. Offering customised, flexible and responsive training, our staff will work with your company to create training that is meaningful and sustainable.

Personalised Approach

Working as your business partner, we provide a personalised approach across a range of areas, including:

  • apprentices and trainees
  • training needs analysis (TNA)
  • customised training
  • recognition of skills and experience your staff may already have through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
  • identifying funding opportunities
  • course development
  • development of training materials and handbooks customised to your specific processes
  • provide contract training staff

Special training programs can be developed in any field from forklift driving and roof tiling to business management and information technology.

Flexible options

We customise solutions to also suit the learning styles of students. Some learners cope better in an interactive environment while others adapt to online learning and others learn best on the job.

Training can be delivered flexibly as follows:

  • on campus or at your worksite
  • computer based on-line and simulator formats
  • traditional classroom delivery

Our training can be adapted to suit your location.

Help with Funding

The Australian Federal and State Governments offer funding incentives for programs that provide training to address shortages and up-skill employees in the workplace. South Regional TAFE can assist you to access the latest government funding initiatives.
