When you complete this course, you will be ready for a career in fashion. The nationally accredited Certificate II in Applied Fashion Design and Technology is a hands-on course for fashion design assistants and beginners in the evolving fashion industry. You will learn your craft in a simulated fashion studio environment and focus on mastering the basics of design, patternmaking and sewing.

This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to perform specialised production or multi-skilled operations and supervision roles within the textiles and clothing production environment.
Students who complete the qualification can expect to be employed in positions that operate equipment and take responsibility for specialist production machines such or processes. The emphasis is on safety, efficiency, process control and problem solving.
