When you complete this course you will be ready for a career as a Shearing Shed Hand or Wool Handler. You will have the skills and knowledge to handle wool and work in a shearing shed. You will learn skills penning sheep, performing board duties, pressing wool, and preparing sheep for shearing and crutching. You will also learn about first aid, effective communication, responding to emergencies, and safety in the workplace.

Students wishing to undertake a Traineeship or an Apprenticeship must be employed in a training contract by an appropriate organisation to study. To find out more regarding Traineeships and apprenticeships click here.

This course has no entrance requirements however you may be required to attend a pre enrolment interview.
