CPR Skill Set

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

On successful completion of this course, students will receive a statement of attainment for the following nationally accredited units HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Specific licensing / regulatory requirements relating to this competency, including requirements for refresher training should be obtained from the relevant national/state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authorities.

Components of this course require participants to bend, kneel and physically perform CPR to meet the required standard.

Participants MUST be able to meet the physical assessment requirements to ensure they can perform actual resuscitation, in an emergency, as a nominated first aider.

  • Concessions and Secondary School Age cap do not apply to commercial courses (such as short courses), or Foundation Programs (ESL, General Education, etc.).
  • Prices quoted include resource fees, but do not include material fees such as the cost of books, uniforms, and students personal equipment.
  • The course fee cap applicable to Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas only applies during the current calendar year, so fees might differ for students enrolling in semester 2.
  • VET Student Loans Eligible Courses and Caps may be subject to changes implemented by the Australian Government.
