Description

This course covers the process of using a welding machine and the difference between MIG & Stick welding.

It is a great place to start if you have not done a lot of welding or have done a small amount and want to learn more.

Suited to beginners, hobby welders, home handy man and trades assistants wanting to up skill.

Entry requirements

In order to comply with safety requirements, students are required to attend all classes wearing:
    Long work trousers (cotton or denim)
    Long sleeved work shirt (cotton or denim)
    Steel capped work boots
    Students must supply a welding shield (helmet) compliant with Australian Standards equipped with a number 11 shade lens or an auto shade helmet
    Clear safety glasses
    Welding gloves

All equipment can be purchased through any supplier of protective equipment.

Certification

On successful completion of this course, students will receive a statement of attainment for the following nationally accredited units.
