Description

This five-day short course will provide students with a taste of the bricklaying industry, as well as an opportunity to obtain a White Card.

Students will complete five days of workshop training. They will obtain a White Card while learning about basic hand skills, mixing mortar, handling a trowel, laying bricks and identifying and using bricklaying tools and equipment.

Successful completion of the course may lead to further apprenticeship studies in bricklaying or blocklaying.

This course is aligned with the Australian Brick and Blocklaying Training Foundation.

PPE requirements:

    steel-capped safety boots
    safety glasses
    long pants
    short sleeve-shirt (no singlets)

Certification

On successful completion of this course, students will receive a statement of attainment for the following nationally accredited units:

    CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to Work safely in the Construction Industry
    CPCCCM1013A Plan and Organise Work
