WorldSkills Nationals Team WA were presented with their official team jackets at Parliament House on 18 July 2023.

There are 13 SR TAFE Students who will head to Melbourne to compete in the national competition held from 17 to 19 August.

A/Managing Director Michelle Willsher congratulated the selected students and lecturing staff for the tremendous efforts they’re putting into the WorldSkills competitions.

“WorldSkills provides a unique opportunity to showcase vocational skills at a very high level,” she said.

“We are thrilled and immensely proud of our talented students and staff.

“Being selected for the state team and the strong preparation for the national competition required is a testament to their skills and enthusiasm,” she said.

No stranger to competing on the big stage, Chef Jordan Murphy is ready to return to WorldSkills Nationals for a second time to show the rest of Australia what she is made of.

Jordan has also received great support from Hospitality Lecturer Johnese Mullen during her training.
