Newmont Boddington Gold (NBG) Indigenous Vocational Education and Training (VET) Pre-Apprenticeship Program Scholarship
Newmont Boddington Gold (NBG) is offering two (one female and one male) Indigenous pre-apprenticeship scholarship opportunities in qualifications linked to priority trade areas.
You may be eligible to apply if you are enrolled or intend to enrol in one of these pre-apprenticeship courses for Semester 2, 2021. See the scholarship application (587 KB) (PDF document) for details or call in to the Bunbury Jobs and Skills Centre. Applications close on 9 July 2021.
► Electrical UEE22011 – Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start) (Electrotechnology Pre-Apprenticeship)
► Engineering MEM20105 – Certificate II in Engineering (Mechanical Fitter and Machinist Pre-Apprenticeship)
► Engineering MEM20105 – Certificate II in Engineering (Heavy Fabrication Pre-Apprenticeship)
► Heavy Automotive AUR20516 – Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology (Heavy Vehicle Servicing Pre-Apprenticeship)
The scholarship will cover the full TAFE course fees and $500 towards study costs
Additionally, successful recipients may be eligible to undertake a work placement at NBG during the pre-apprenticeship training and will be encouraged to apply for an NBG Apprenticeship Program upon course completion.
Online applications are now open for Semester 2 enrolments.
Applications close 10am Monday 26 July 2021.
The following Scholarships are available:
Jack Family Charitable Trust Scholarship
20 scholarships of $500 each for students studying full time at South Regional TAFE’s Albany, Katanning or Denmark campus.
Denmark Music Foundation Scholarship
One scholarship of $500 for a student studying the Diploma of Music, full time at the Denmark campus.
Don McLeish Memorial Scholarship sponsored by Albany Halfway House Association
One scholarship of $1000 for a student studying the Certificate IV in Mental Health, full time at the Albany campus.
Western Power Corporation Scholarship
Applicants must be studying full time and enrolled in the Certificate II of Electrotechnology at either Bunbury or Albany campuses. Up to five Scholarships in total across both campuses, to cover the total cost of Semester 2 fees for successful applicants.
Terms and Conditions for all scholarship applications:
Scholarships are not available to South Regional TAFE employees, their immediate families or associates.
Selection panel decisions cannot be appealed and no correspondence concerning decisions will be entered into.
The scholarship is not transferrable and is for Semester 2, 2021.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
