Nominate for Student of the Year Major Awards (South West campuses)

South Regional TAFE is calling for nominations for its South West major award categories which will be presented at its annual Student Awards Ceremony.

Below is a list of categories and button link to the nomination form for any South West campus student  (Bunbury, Busselton, Collie, Harvey, Manjimup, Margaret River and Narrogin) who completed their training in 2018.

If you would like to nominate a student from a Great Southern campus (Albany, Denmark, Esperance, Katanning or Mount Barker) for one of their major awards please contact Student Services Albany on 9892 7509.

Students who are recognised at our Student Award ceremony could be in the running to receive cash prizes and further recognition from their industry.

Our Student Awards ceremonies are special events held at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre and Albany Entertainment Centre in early April.

During the ceremony we acknowledge students who have worked hard or overcome adversity to complete their training and perhaps inspired their fellow students or work colleagues with their determination.

It only takes about 10 minutes to nominate yourself or someone you know who is worthy of recognition for their achievements. Nominations can be made by a student, lecturer or TAFE staff member, employer, or friends and family of the student.

Apprentice of the Year

Trainee of the Year

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year

Vocational Student of the Year

Women in Non-Traditional Trades Awards

Cultural Diversity Training Award

International Student of the Year

Pre-Apprentice of the Year

Access and Diversity Award

Deadline is 5pm Friday February 8 2019

Important:

• South West Student Awards Ceremony will be held Friday Friday 29 March 2019 at Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre,
• please read the award essential criteria before beginning your nomination,
• provide as much information as you can,
• ensure you check your answers to the questions before submitting (once submitted your answers can't be altered once submitted),
• winners of the Apprentice of the Year, Trainee of the Year, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year and Vocational Student of the Year will be considered for the overall South Regional TAFE Awards in those categories.
• your nomination will be carefully considered by a panel of TAFE staff before short-listing and contacting nominees.
• all selection panel decisions are final.
