Bunbury
Description
Create your own unique, hand-printed gift and greeting cards for birthdays, special occasions or Christmas. In this workshop, you will learn how to create lino prints, combined with the fun printmaking technique of Chine Collé, a technique that adds colour and variety to your prints. You will also create your own small lino stamp for decorating gift tags and wrapping paper.
Further description of short course:
Day 1: Design and create two linocuts
Participants will create two simple designs for a greeting card and stamp. There will be a range of templates available to use. Participants will then create a linocut from their chosen design. Depending on time, there may be the opportunity to create test prints.
Day 2: Linocut printing with Chine Collé
Participants will learn how to hand-print using the linocuts created the previous week. Final prints will incorporate the Chine Collé technique. Chine Collé is a technique where their coloured paper is added to the print at the time of printing.
Participants will be able to take home their linocuts to continue printing.
Information on where to source printmaking tools and materials needed to print at home will be provided.

Creative Recycled Art |

Busselton
Description
Would you like to guarantee your recyclable waste is getting recycled?
Most of us try to recycle where we can, but we can’t always be assured our waste ends up in the right place. More and more, we hear about our plastic footprint and experts say that by the year 2050, there will be more plastic in our oceans than fish!
Join us in this workshop using and combining recycled objects to create a unique sculptural piece that holds succulents. The workshop will explore different combinations of connecting the recycled objects, adding colour and texture then the succulents to create hanging or standing features.
The succulents and most of the recycled objects will be provided. (You’re welcome to bring your own!).
