South Regional TAFE is on track to open a new training facility in Collie later this year, strengthening local access to industry-relevant training and expanding study options for the community.
With the construction delivered by South West builder Devlyn Australia Pty Ltd, the Collie Transition Training Centre will complement the existing campus and create more pathways for people to start, change, or advance their careers.
The centre features modern, purpose-built training spaces designed to meet the needs of the region’s evolving industries.
Facilities will support training in resources and infrastructure, including high-risk licences, machinery operation and laboratory capabilities - ensuring hands-on, practical learning that mirrors real-world workplaces.
The new facility provides more opportunities for locals to study close to home. For those entering the workforce, upskilling for advancement, or transitioning into a new field, the Collie campus will offer flexible options across entry-level and advanced programs.
The facility will also support local employers by developing job-ready graduates with the skills and licences needed across the region. With enhanced training capacity, businesses can access a pipeline of talent trained on the latest equipment and aligned to current industry standards.
