The worker is required to identify client circumstances that need additional input from the allied health professional. The worker may be engaged to work in a specialty area or work generically across the organisation in delivery of allied health assistance services. The worker, in conjunction with the allied health professional, may have responsibility for supervising other allied health assistance workers.

When you complete this course you will be ready for a career in the automotive industry. You will have the skills and knowledge to service, diagnose and repair electrical systems and components in vehicles in the automotive electrical service and repair industry.  You will need to be employed and registered as an apprentice/trainee before you can undertake this course. This course may also be available through Recognition of Prior Learning to eligible applicants.

Successful completion of the qualification can be used for formal trade recognition in the automotive industry.  This qualification includes automotive air conditioning and refrigeration units, sufficient to cover all of the requirements of Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology and will enable the holder to apply for an unrestricted automotive air conditioning licence from ARC.

This qualification will provide you with skills and knowledge used in the heavy automotive vehicle servicing sector. This course would appeal to students who have a keen interest in IT and robotics. Automation is the creation and application of technologies to produce and deliver goods and services with minimal human intervention. Automation technologies, techniques and processes improve the efficiency, reliability, and/or speed of many tasks previously performed by humans.

The Broadacre Harvest Operations Skill Set will give anyone new to the agricultural industry the skills and knowledge to safely undertake employment for harvest operations in the broadacre sector. The Certificate III in Community Services reflects the role of entry level community services workers who support individuals through the provision of person-centred services. At this level, work takes place under the direction of others and supervision may be direct or indirect. Work may take place in a range of community services organisations.

Students who complete a Certificate III in Community Services can expect to find employment in support position across a wide range of community service industries.

In this course you will learn the requirements for working in confined spaces including:

When you complete this course you will be ready for a career in the heavy automotive sector. You will have the skills and knowledge to carry out diagnostic procedures and undertake appropriate repairs, identifying and applying safe work practices in the heavy automotive industry. This course will expand your knowledge and practical skills specific to heavy commercial vehicles, including steering, braking and hydraulic systems.  (NB. You will need to be employed and registered as an apprentice/trainee before you can undertake this course).

Complete the 6 week driver trainer program and become job ready to join the transport and logistics industry.

The Heavy Vehicle Driving Operations skill set provides participants real, hands-on experience. 

In this training program you will learn how to:

• follow work health and safety procedures;
• carry out inspection of trucks and trailers;
• secure, load and unload cargo of goods;
• apply work fatigue management strategies;
• understanding chain of responsibility. 

The driving instruction training component of the program is conducted in a range of conditions and locations, with coaching from qualified and experienced drivers.
On successful completion of the skill set, you can apply to obtain one of the following licences: Heavy Rigid; Heavy Combination; or Multi Combination class vehicle, and may apply for a forklift (LF) licence. 

This course is for any interested people that want to learn a more about gardening and general horticultural practices. Such people may want to commence their own business or seek employment as a nursery hand within established horticultural businesses. When you complete the Certificate III in Individual Support you'll be on your way to a career as an aged care assistant.

When you complete the Certificate III in Individual Support you'll be on your way to a career as an aged care assistant.  
This course specialises in providing home and community support services and also supports relationships with carers and families.

You will have the skills and knowledge to follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to disability or some other reason, in the community and/or residential setting. Work involves using discretion and judgement in relation to individual support as well as taking responsibility for own outputs. Workers have a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support. This course includes a compulsory work placement.

You will have skills and knowledge in a range of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) roles, including animation, basic cloud computing, basic cyber awareness, digital media skills, generalist IT support services, networking, programming, systems and web development.

Individuals who work in these fields apply broad sets of skills, including foundational knowledge in critical thinking and customer service skills, to support a range of technologies, processes, procedures, policies, people and clients in a variety of work contexts.

You will have the skills and knowledge to:

• database development: interpreting specifications, technical designs and flow charts, modifying software applications, constructing technical specifications from models and testing, and writing technical documents
• database maintenance: managing, cleaning, storing and verifying organisational data, and evaluating compliance with internal and external data ethics regulations and legislation
• gaming development: creating 2D and 3D modelling and animation software through scripts and storyboards
• networking: installing, configuring and testing networks and servers in organisations
• programming: building, testing and applying basic object-oriented language skills, user interfaces and software developments
• systems administration support: implementing maintenance procedures and support to help troubleshoot system applications
• web development: designing website layouts through textual and visual content transfer, search engine optimisation and simple markup language documents.

The three week short course training teaches work safety practices (including White Card), carry out measurements and calculations, how to prepare and organise construction work and skills to operate equipment and tools needed in construction projects.

During your work placement, you will gain real, hands on industry experience and secure a ‘foot in the door’ by working with an employer.

By completing the Infrastructure Ready Program you may:

• be offered a job with your work placement employer;

• be offered a traineeship in civil construction;

• gain employer references; or

• be endorsed for other employment opportunities within the civil construction industry.

When you complete the Certificate II in Introduction to Aged Care you'll be on your way to a career as an aged care assistant.

When you complete this course, you will be ready for a career in laboratory techniques. You will have the skills and knowledge to perform a range of laboratory techniques, including manual, semi-automated and fully automated, to collect and prepare samples in a laboratory. 

This qualification reflects the role of workers who conduct a wide range of basic, and limited range of specialist tests across a variety of industry sectors. Workers may be required to assist other personnel to solve technical problems and to adjust formulations and production mixes. They may also train them to collect samples and conduct basic tests reliably.

Workers have responsibility for their own outputs according to established procedures. Work is carried out according to established procedures often under the direction and supervision of laboratory or quality managers, or scientific/medical professionals. Work is normally subject to frequent progress.

When you complete this course you will be ready for a career in the automotive industry. You will have skills and knowledge in light automotive servicing technologies, including engines, suspension and steering systems.  You will learn how to carry out diagnostic procedures and undertake appropriate repairs, identifying and applying safe work practices in the light automotive industry.  You will need to be employed and registered as an apprentice/trainee before you can undertake this course. This course may also be available through Recognition of Prior Learning to eligible applicants. This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a broad range of tasks on a variety of light vehicles in the automotive retail, service and repair industry.

This qualification reflects the role of workers who provide self-directed recovery oriented support for people affected by mental illness and psychiatric disability. Work involves implementing community based programs and activities focusing on mental health, mental illness and psychiatric disability. Work is undertaken in a range of community contexts such as community based non-government organisations; home based outreach; centre-based programs; respite care; residential services, rehabilitation programs; clinical settings; or supporting people in employment. Work is carried out autonomously under the broad guidance of other practitioners and professionals.

When you complete this course you will be ready for a career in mobile plant technology. You will have skills and knowledge in mobile plant technologies, including steering, braking and hydraulic systems. 

You will learn how to carry out diagnostic procedures and undertake appropriate repairs, identifying and applying safe work practices in the heavy automotive industry. You will need to be employed and registered as an apprentice/trainee before you can undertake this course.

This course may also be available through Recognition of Prior Learning to eligible applicants. This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a broad range of tasks on a variety of mobile plant machinery in the automotive retail, service and repair industry.

When you complete this course you will be ready for a career in Nursing. You will have the skills and knowledge to assist in the provision of preventative, curative and rehabilitative nursing. You will also learn about anatomy and physiology, infection control, nursing care of the client, legal and ethical parameters of nursing practice and promote positive health. You will also develop an understanding of health issues of Indigenous Australians and contribute to the nutritional and mental health care of the client. Your learning will incorporate a large component of supervised clinical practice in a health care setting.

This qualification reflects the role of an enrolled nurse working under the direct or indirect supervision of a registered nurse. Enrolled nurses provide nursing care for people across the health care continuum and at all stages of life. To be eligible to apply for registration as an enrolled nurse and to practice in Australia, individuals must complete a Diploma of Nursing program accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) and approved as ‘an approved program of study’ by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) in accordance with the Enrolled Nurse Accreditation Standards. The scope of practice for enrolled nurses is determined by legislative requirements and the policies and procedures of the employing organisation. This qualification may contribute to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia's (NMBA) registration requirements to practice as an enrolled nurse.

After completion of the Diploma of Nursing course and registering with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency you may work as an Enrolled Nurse across numerous clinical settings.

This qualification reflects the role of pathology collectors. Workers in this role follow known routines and procedures, taking responsibility for their own work under general supervision. They combine communication, customer service and technical skills, and use discretion and judgement to adapt and transfer their skills to different situations.

When you complete this course, you will be ready for a career as a pastry chef.  You will have the skills and knowledge of kitchen operations to produce patisserie products. Using discretion and judgement, they work with some independence and under limited supervision using plans, policies and procedures to guide work activities. This qualification provides a pathway to work in various organisations where patisserie products are prepared and served, including patisseries, restaurants, hotels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafés and coffee shops.

The aim of this course  is to build the skills and knowledge required to provide entry level support and basic client care for a range of roles and purposes within the aged care and disability sectors. This includes people who hold caring/support roles in their work role, family roles, friendships and other roles.

You can expect to learn how to meet the personal support needs of people who require support. This will include assisting with  dressing, undressing, grooming, eating and drinking, oral hygiene, shaving, showering, toileting and the use of continence aids and using aids and equipment used by the person.
