The safe loading of vehicles is vitally important in preventing injury to people and damage to property. There are economic benefits to all if the load arrives at its destination intact and without damage.
If you are a heavy vehicle driver and part of your job role is to transport loads from one destination to another, then this course is designed and aimed at ensuring you have a clear understanding of ensuring the load you are transporting is safe and secure while in transit.
This course is provided to ensure that you and your colleagues become familiar with the general principles of load restraint and the use of the new Load Restraint Guide. It is not a formal training day on load restraint, but rather an information day to ensure that your awareness of load restraint issues is raised, and that you are able to navigate the content of the new Load Restraint Guide.
During this course you will learn and understand the importance of restraining a load on a vehicle. The course covers:
load restraint awareness
introduction to the Load Restraint Guide
general principles of load restraint
arranging loads on vehicles
restraining loads on vehicles
driving laden vehicles
On successful completion of this course, students will receive a statement of attainment for the following nationally accredited units:
TLID2004 Load and Unload Goods/Cargo
Concession: $ to be advised
Commercial / International: $ to be advised
School age students
Students who would normally be attending year 12 or below in the current calendar year will be eligible to enrol at the commercial / international rate for this course.
This courses isn’t available to Visa 500 International Students.
