Fire and Emergency Safety Training Skill Set

The Fire Warden training is targeted towards the members of your site's Emergency Control (Warden) Team.
It is delivered in compliance with Australian Standard AS3745 and your Emergency Response Procedures.
The training has a strong focus on life safety and evacuating people in emergency situations.

 

The training covers the following topics:
    Legislative requirements and Australian Standard AS 3745
    Emergency control organisation structure (ECO)
    ECO Duties and Responsibilities
    Emergency types and their impact
    Raising the alarm
    Fire alarm systems (if installed)
    Managing mobility impaired occupants
    Assembly area/s

 

Our Fire Suppression Training is targeted towards all staff with a strong focus on safely suppressing a small fire using portable fire equipment including fire extinguishers, hose reels and fire blankets.

 

The training covers the following topics:
    Fire science and classes of Fire
    Extinguishing agents/types and safe use of fire extinguishers
    Safe use of fire hose reels and fire blankets
    Hands-on practical assessment

 

On successful completion of this course, students will receive a statement of attainment for the following nationally accredited units.

 

CPPFES2005A Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment
PMAOMIR210 Control evacuation to muster point
PUAWER004B Respond to workplace emergencies
PUAWER006B  Lead an emergency control organisation

School age students
Students who would normally be attending year 12 or below in the current calendar year will be eligible to enrol at the commercial / international rate for this course.

International students
This courses isn’t available to Visa 500 International Students.
