Certificate IV in Training And Assessment

National ID: TAE40116 | State ID: BAB2

Are you passionate about sharing knowledge and training others?
When you complete the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment you will be ready to start a rewarding career as a vocational trainer, assessor, or lecturer, either in the private or public sector.

You will gain the knowledge and skills to deliver and assess training, design and develop training programs, present to groups of learners, and participate in assessment moderation and validation.

The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is an essential requirement for anyone wishing to deliver vocational education and training for a registered training organisation in Australia.

Mandatory Entry Requirements

The TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment provides individuals with the skills and knowledge to train and assess in the VET system, but it does not provide them with an area of expertise in which to train or assess.

For this reason the requirement for entry into this qualification is that:

Those entering this program must be able to demonstrate vocational competency in their proposed teaching and assessing area. Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.

(Reference: Companion volume for implementation guide for TAE Training and Education Training Package release 2.0)

Students will need access to a real work place where facilitation of learning can be undertaken for assessment.

Not all study modes are offered at all campuses. Please check with your local campus for study modes and elective units offered.
