When you complete this course you will be ready for a career in mobile plant technology. You will have skills and knowledge in mobile plant technologies, including steering, braking and hydraulic systems. 

 

You will learn how to carry out diagnostic procedures and undertake appropriate repairs, identifying and applying safe work practices in the heavy automotive industry. You will need to be employed and registered as an apprentice/trainee before you can undertake this course.

 

This course may also be available through Recognition of Prior Learning to eligible applicants. This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a broad range of tasks on a variety of mobile plant machinery in the automotive retail, service and repair industry.

Half-price

This course is part of the Lower fees, local skills initiative. From 1 January 2020 through to 31 December 2025 you'll only pay half the course fees, capped at $1,200; or $400 if you're aged 15—24 or eligible for a concession, plus resource fees and other fees that may apply to your course.
