Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)

National ID: CHC33015 | State ID: AA67

This qualification reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to disability or some other reason. Work involves using discretion and judgement in relation to individual support as well as taking responsibility for own outputs. Workers have a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support.
This course includes a compulsory work placement.

The training package does not specify any mandatory entry requirements into this course. However prospective students should note that a mandatory part of the course requires you to participate and complete a supervised work placement, in a suitable environment that provides the services in your selected area of
study. Before you commence work placement, you may be required to obtain a police clearance (approximately $72).

Please check when you enquire as to whether a police clearance is required for your work placement.

It is strongly recommended you also consult with your doctor about having a flu vaccination.

Further information on work placement requirements can be obtained from the CHC Training Package Implementation Guide
