CERTIFICATE III IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND CARE

National ID: CHC30113 | State ID: J587

Do you want a career nurturing our future?

When you complete the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care you’ll be on your way to a career as a preschool assistant or childcare centre assistant.
You will gain the knowledge and skills to work effectively as an educator, supporting the development and wellbeing of children aged 0 to 5 years, understanding children’s learning, providing learning support, working with children from culturally diverse backgrounds, identifying and responding to children at risk, and workplace health and safety.

The training package does not specify any mandatory entry requirements into this course. However prospective students should note that a mandatory part of the course requires you to participate and complete a supervised work placement, in a suitable environment that provides the services in your selected area of study. Before you commence work placement, you may be required to obtain a police clearance (approximately $72). Please check when you enquire as to whether a police clearance is required for your work placement.

It is strongly recommended you also consult with your doctor about having a flu vaccination.

Further information on work placement requirements can be obtained from the CHC Training Package Implementation Guide

Not all study modes are offered at all campuses.  Please check with your local campus for study modes and elective units offered.
