When you complete this course you will be ready for a career in agricultural machinery distribution, agricultural field work and agricultural farm work.

You will have the skills and knowledge to work on agricultural machinery and equipment and covers mechanical, electrical and hydraulic operations and braking systems.

The units in Apprenticeship are customised according to the individual Training Agreement that is negotiated with the employer and may vary (within the Qualification rules) in each case.

 

Half-price

This course is part of the Lower fees, local skills initiative. From 1 January 2020 through to 31 December 2025 you'll only pay half the course fees, capped at $1,200; or $400 if you're aged 15—24 or eligible for a concession, plus resource fees and other fees that may apply to your course.

    This qualification is typically offered as block release mode

    Class times: 8.30am - 4.30pm

    Notification of required attendance will be issued via callup email to the apprentice and employer

    • Enclosed steel capped safety boots - Heavy leather uppers and heavy-duty soles
    • Long heavy cotton drill trousers and long sleeve hi-vis cotton drill shirt
    • Safety glasses need to meet the Australian Safety Standards
    • Work gloves
    • Long hair must be tied-up or contained
