Students who complete this course can expect to find employment in entry level positions, in agriculture, market gardens, and mixed rural enterprises. 
Training will be very practical in nature with students being involved in the creation of the growing area, propagation and growing a range of edible crops using both traditional techniques as well as introducing them to permaculture.

The course will also provide a taster that will assist in establishing student direction towards more industry specific study at Certificate III and higher levels in a range of qualifications.
