This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in performing core skills in outdoor recreation environments and assisting with the conduct of a range of outdoor activities.

  • Developing navigation skills
  • Top rope climbing skills on natural surfaces
  • Intermediate skills and tactics of canoeing
  • Developing bushwalking skills in a controlled environment
  • Conducting outdoor recreation sessions

School Leaver Non-School Leaver AQF
OLNA or NAPLAN 9 Band 8 C Grades in Year 10 English and Maths or equivalent Certificate I or Certificate II
Job opportunities

This qualification will provide students with the practical skills and knowledge to work as an assistant guide in the  Tourism and Outdoor Recreation industry.
