This qualification will provide you with practical skills and knowledge in a range of metals and engineering industry areas. You will learn skills in using tools, measuring and calculating, technical drawing, load shifting, thermal cutting, using forging and casting equipment, and welding. You will also learn about safety in the workplace, computing and math. Trainees will learn and practice their skills on the job, in the workplace.

The aim of this traineeship qualification is to provide learners with industry specific training and workplace learning to gain skills, knowledge and behaviours to enable transition into an indentured apprenticeship. Successful completion of this qualification provides you with the opportunity to become a trades assistant.
Certificate III in Engineering (NB. You will need to be employed and registered as an apprentice/trainee before you can further your studies in the Engineering industry).
