The Certificate I in New Opportunities for Women (NOW) is a well‐established Access and Participation program. This qualification is designed to support women in their work and career prospects. Enabling women to develop the requisite social, personal and employability skills to support their transition into work, further education and community participation.

The Certificate I in New Opportunities for Women (NOW) maintains an inclusive pathway for students. It provides generic and transferable entry level outcomes that support the individual pathway choices of a diverse range of learners. 

Students can expect to achieve a range of Educational and Vocational outcomes, not limited to;

  • Verbal and Written Communication skills allowing them to interact professionally with people in the workplace and in the wider community
  • Personal Development Strategies and Problem Solving skills  
  • Computing and digital technology skills 

Vocational outcomes for learners who complete (NOW) include the development of:

  • strategies to assist in solving problems
  • confidence to seek further employment
  • preparatory skills for effective participation in a community or work environment by developing knowledge and skills to meet industry/workplace standards
  • preparatory skills for workplace expectations

On completion of this course women will have a better understanding of what opportunities are available in the workforce, pursue a career or use the course as an introduction to further study.

  • Prices quoted include resource fees, but do not include material fees such as the cost of books, uniforms, and students personal equipment.
  • The course fee cap applicable to Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas only applies during the current calendar year, so fees might differ for students enrolling in semester 2.
  • VET Student Loans Eligible Courses and Caps may be subject to changes implemented by the Australian Government.
