Barista Introduction

This workshop will give you the skills to prepare and serve fantastic coffee.
You will learn to:

    Organise a coffee workstation
    Select and grind coffee beans
    Learn the various coffee types and their accompaniments
    Texture milk
    Extract and monitor coffee
    Serve coffee
    Clean an espresso machine

The class size is restricted, giving everyone opportunities to actively use grinders, espresso coffee machine and other equipment needed to prepare the perfect cup of coffee.


This is a non-accredited short course

Commercial / International: $160

School age students
Students who would normally be attending year 12 or below in the current calendar year will be eligible to enrol at the commercial / international rate for this course.

International students
This courses isn’t available to Visa 500 International Students.

Important information

What to wear (PPE)

Participants are required to wear appropriate work wear:

  • long pants
  • long sleeve shirt
  • enclosed shoes
  • long hair tied back and no loose jewellery
