The Auslan Level 1 course is available for everyone who wishes to learn Australian Sign Language (Auslan) to communicate with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community across the Western region of Victoria and in Western Australia.

Topics covered in the this course include:

  • Learn about Deaf Community, Deaf Culture, Grammar and Structure
  • Handshapes and Facial Expressions
  • Various Australia Sign Language topics
  • Interactive group activities
  • Suitable for beginners


This is a non-accredited short course, you will receive a certificate of participation for this course



Some of the courses on the list can be done completely online. However some of the courses require a practical component which can't be done online, or some may be a mix of online and face-to-face learning. We’ll let you know what's required for your course.
