Asbestos Removal

Description
This course is for asbestos removal operators who wish to apply for a licence from WorkSafe. Anyone removing more than 10 square metres of asbestos must undertake this training prior to applying for a licence.
This training course will also train personnel of all levels so they can quickly identify likely hazardous materials.
It will include the examination of real life materials to illustrate the appearance of asbestos in a variety of wastes.
Participants will be provided with the skills required to be able to properly supervise, manage and carry out asbestos work involving non-friable (bonded) asbestos-containing material.
This course covers:
Legislative framework
Risk management
Removal and disposal of non friable (bonded) asbestos
Certification
This is an assessable and non accredited course. You will be required to undertake a written assessment. Candidates will be awarded with a Statement of Completion which is required to apply for the licence.
This course cost DOES NOT include the WorkSafe application fee of $833.70. All participants requiring a Restricted Asbestos Licence will be required to submit the application to Work Safe, which includes:
a written application form for a Restricted Asbestos Licence
an application fee, ($833.70 as of July 2018)
evidence of approved training (completion of this course)
A Restricted Asbestos Removal Licence is valid for three years.

Commercial / International: $175.00
School age students
Students who would normally be attending year 12 or below in the current calendar year will be eligible to enrol at the commercial / international rate for this course.
International students
This courses isn’t available to Visa 500 International Students.
