BARISTA INTRODUCTION

 Description

This workshop will give you the skills to prepare and serve fantastic coffee.
You will learn to:

  • Organise a coffee workstation
  • Select and grind coffee beans
  • Learn the various coffee types and their accompaniments
  • Texture milk
  • Extract and monitor coffee
  • Serve coffee
  • Clean an espresso machine

The class size is restricted, giving everyone opportunities to actively use grinders, espresso coffee machine and other equipment needed to prepare the perfect cup of coffee.

Additional Requirements

  • Fully enclosed, non-slip leather shoes
  • Full length trousers
  • Shoulders must be covered (ie No singlets)
  • No loose or dangling sleeves or jewellery
  • Long hair tied back

Certification

On successful completion, participants receive a Statement of Attendance from South Regional TAFE.
